'KIDS BUSKING FOR THE KIDS'

QUARC will be helping raise money for Queenscliff's annual 'Kids Busking for the Kids' festival which donates to the Geelong Hospital.  We will be running a craft activity table for the kiddies, for a couple of dollars the kids can 'bling' up a plastic Easter egg and hide a little chicken in it.  Yay!

Come and visit us and say 'hi' or even lend a hand, it should be a great day with lots of  events and all proceeds going towards a wonderful and important cause. ' Pimp up my Easter Egg' will be a fun way to celebrate Easter and donate to the hospital.  See you there!

Market Postponed

GET YOUR THONGS ON AND GRAB YOUR TOWELS, THE SUMMER MARKET IS HERE!

Summer lov'n is here and we love you all so when you're finished at the beach grab your thongs and towels and walk over for some summer fun.  There will be great art and craft and the kids can draw some fish and add it to our sea wall or for $2 bucks a pop they can do a great craft activity, fun for all!

 We love Pip Lincolne's online  'Good Stuff Holiday Guide' for 2012.  There is lots of great 'I could do that!' craft and inspiring images, hop on to the web site and enjoy.

Don't you just love tissue paper flowers?   They are a great way to decorate an outdoor party in warmer weather.  Just buy some tissue paper (if you look in the $2 shops it can be found for as little as $1 per packet) cut it to the size you want, concertina fold about 8-10 layers together, tie the middle with fishing wire, pull each layer apart and hang - Yay!  I love to make them about 15cm long so they are nice and big to decorate the trees around my garden, add some fairy lights and wine and bring on Spring festivities!

September means Spring, sunshine and the next QUARC market.  Held during the September school holidays, 1.30pm - 6pm, come down and enjoy the gorgeous art and craft on offer while chatting with the artists or engaging in some fun craft activities with the kids.  Parking and entry is free, see you there!

QUARC is pleased to announce that it is donating free market stalls to the local schools in the Borough to assist their fundraising efforts. These stalls will be run by the children themselves and will feature their beautiful hand-made arts and crafts.  Please support your local schools and come along and see just what your children can do!

Not long now and all things knitting will be celebrated!  If you are in or around Queenscliff come down to McKenzie Ebbels (ME) Foodstore in Hobson St for an 'all you can knit session'.  Starting in the afternoon and continuing through to early evening you can sit by the fire in beautiful surrounds and knit to your heart's content with like-minded ladies. 

QUARC will be using this gorgeous intimate venue to conduct art and craft classes for small groups in the near future, providing tutorials as well as a place to just come and sew or knit for the evening with friends (and have a glass of wine of course!) at a small fee. We will keep you updated.

QUARC April Market: Fabulous Stalls, So Much Variety

For all those that loved them at the last market (everyone) we have got them back again, we just could not get enough of them here at QUARC and how much fun for the kids!

Preparations for the April QUARC: A Mother's Treat

Mothers will be spoilt at the 13 April twilight market.  Children's activities will be Mothers' Day gifts to make on site.  These gorgeous crafts are easy to make and the end results will be products mums will want to display at home.

Another Huge Success!

January's market provided a fantastic night out for the whole family with gorgeous items for sale, great art activities for the kids, awesome live music (with the kids joining in!) and food and wine.  Over 2000 people packed the hall to buy beautiful, clever, creative and unique handmade items and speak to the artists themselves about their work.  The market was a great night for all, thank-you to all those who participated, check out our soon to be included 'press' page and the wonderful write-ups we have received.
